The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is different from any other organization because we have a three-level, multi-dimensional network of professionals that represent all disciplines of advertising. Our goal is to educate advertising professionals and students, monitor legislative issues, recognize excellence, drive traffic to all businesses, and help build our economy.


AAF Pensacola 2013-2014 Public Service Campaign Announced November 25

AAF Pensacola has officially announced Escambia Search and Rescue as their selection for the 2013-2014 public service campaign. Annually, AAF Pensacola selects a non-profit organization for a public service advertising campaign directed to that organization’s specific needs. During the month of August, AAF Pensacola received more than 90 applications. The AAF Pensacola Board of Directors extensively reviewed the applications and selected Escambia Search and Rescue (ESAR) to receive this year’s campaign.

Over the next few months, the AAF Pensacola Public Service committee will work with the organization’s leaders to determine which advertising and marketing services are needed and will begin the development of a plan that will raise awareness for ESAR within our community. About Escambia Search and Rescue (ESAR)

Escambia Search and Rescue is a non-profit organization that trains for and responds to many different types of incidents including lost children, drowning victims, overdue boats, natural disasters, and missing persons including those with Alzheimer’s, Autism or other forms of dementia. The organization is made up of volunteers from Northwest Florida and South Alabama who are trained in crisis communication, rescue and recovery diving, K9 search, boat operation, and ground search and support. ESAR is a member of the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR) and provides Search, Rescue, and Recovery services to local, state, and federal law enforcement, and fire/rescue agencies.

The organization is dedicated to serving members by protecting and advancing advertising interests, including the freedom to truthfully advertise legal products. AAF Pensacola offering marketing services to local non-profit: Apply now! August 24

The Pensacola chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF Pensacola) is currently accepting applications from nonprofit organizations and their supporters for the 2013-2014 Public Service Campaign.

Each year, AAF Pensacola selects a non-profit organization to receive a public service advertising campaign directed to that organization’s specific needs. The organization’s Public Service committee works with the organization to determine where the donated services may have the greatest impact. Services can range from general organizational awareness campaigns to event promotion or helping with a specific task such as recruiting volunteers.

Past recipients include Autism Pensacola (2012-2013), Gulf Coast Kids House (2011-2012) and ACE, Pensacola’s Art, Culture & Entertainment (2010–2011).

“Autism Pensacola was so blessed to be selected to work with AAF last winter,” said Susan Byram, executive director of Autism Pensacola. “The entire experience was wonderful. AAF Pensacola met with us, listened to our needs and responded with a thoughtful, creative, inspirational campaign that we will use for many years to come.  The donated work saved our organization thousands of dollars.”

AAF Pensacola Board of Directors Chair receives 2013 National ADDY® Award July 31

Jarrett Moore, AAF Pensacola member and UWF student, was recognized with a Student ADDY® Award at the 2013 American Advertising Federation (AAF) National ADDY® Awards Gala, held on June 8 in Phoenix. Moore is the only student/professional recognized by AAF National from the Pensacola market for the 2013 ADDY® Awards.

The Student ADDY® award was presented to Moore for his work on his portfolio piece, Vintage Batman Characters, which was developed in 2012 for a senior graphic design project while he was attending UWF as a Communication Arts student.
Currently, Moore serves as the 2013-14 AAF Pensacola Education Chair. Previously, Moore held the position of Creative Chair for the 2012-13 year. Prior to joining AAF Pensacola, Moore was involved with AAF Pensacola through UWF ClubAd.
